Mariazeller Dialog 2012

On Wednesday and Thursday, 25 to 26 January 2012, JOANNEUM RESEARCH will host the “Mariazell Dialogue 2012 – How many people, how much consumption can our planet sustain? How many do we need to sustain our social systems?” on the normative questions associated to demographic change.

On Thursday and Friday, 26 to 27 January 2012, JOANNEUM RESEARCH will host a workshop on the related topic of “Demographic change and its consequences for ecology, social redis- tribution systems and urban development”. Both events are closely connected; Wednesday to Thursday the conference is also open to the public whilst Friday is devoted to the development of future research topics by a smaller number of invited researchers only.
